EN) New album and lots of stuff! ๐Ÿ’›

Hello fellow Infernulia friends, welcome to another devlog for Infernulia. This post includes stuff about Infer Try, and also about the current Infer. Let's get down to business ๐Ÿ™

INFERNULIA Try2: Full Album Deluxe ๐Ÿ’›

As you can see, I've finished making the deluxe album for Try2. It took me quite a while even though this album only compiles 11 songs, compared to Classic Album Deluxe which had 31 songs.

I chose to change the visual style in this album for two reasons:

  • The first is, Try2 is a bit more colorful and saturated compared to Infer Classic, and I wanted to give it a bit of a modern and special touch to commemorate the change from RPG Maker to Godot. I plan to explore more visual styles and things in what's next for Infernulia.
  • The second thing was also to try something new and see how it turns out. I really liked the music graphics that came out for this album, it makes me nostalgic for when I first discovered Just Shapes and Beats (specifically I remembered the visual style of the OST videos).

Beyond that, while editing the album in CapCut, I realized too late that I needed to add one more song (and I had to delete the video I uploaded to Youtube and start editing again haha). This song I found is called "Turketh", it was going to be an original song for the Start, but in the end I didn't finish it in the game because later the Start was changed to My Room (this with the aim of connecting Infernulia with my comic Cucarda).

Other songs I found while re-editing the album video were: "Castle in the Sky" (Inspired by the Ghibli movie with the same name"), "Sensible, and Sensible Try2" (Savings, I don't consider them necessary anymore, so I'm going to change the name of the song to something else); and lastly, I found some attempts at moving songs: I was trying to create electronic or breakcore type songs, although I plan to do them better in FL Studio in the future (I don't want to pirate haha "u u).

I think that's just Try2's part. I was surprised and really liked the songs I was able to find in the game that I didn't use (I had forgotten that I made them). I noticed these extra songs when I opened the "bgm" folder inside the game's main folder. The song I liked the most (although not so much for being melancholic) was "Hope and Sadness", I had planned it to be the GameOver of Infer Try2, just like Infer Classic once had a GameOver with the Desktop song slowed down.

Something I forgot to mention:

I had already released the Try2 album on Bandlab before the release of the Youtube version (if I'm not mistaken, the Bandlab album came out a day before). This time difference (and the announcement), both of the Bandlab version and the Youtube version (plus another video that you will see soon), was due to exhaustion and the time one spends while it's December 31st. Despite that, I released the Bandlab version of Try2 at 12 midnight on the 31st (i.e., already on January 1st, 2025). I was supposed to release the Bandlab and Youtube versions at the same time (and also write a devlog about it), but I decided to give myself a chance to rest so I wouldn't feel sick hahah.

"Canciones Pospuestas / Postponed songs"

The video you see above came out unexpectedly after I finished the album for Youtube at 12 midnight on the 31st (meaning I stayed up early to be able to release this extra video too lol). I was really excited to do it because, apart from the discoveries I mentioned in the previous topic, I also discovered something else (that I almost thought was going to be related to Classic [I didn't want to re-edit the album haha x" )]. I found songs that were planned to be released in version 2.4.3 (derived from 2.0 [aka Try2]). I made them for the sake of dreaming and imagining what a future version of the game would be like, although well now 2.4.3 will have to wait until I make the game inside Godot again "uvu.

Do these songs have names? Actually they don't. I honestly don't remember if I wrote the two songs within the same project because they were going to transition from one to the other, or if it just happened because they were just improvisations at that moment. Or maybe it was both, haha.

Other than that, I really liked how they turned out. If I'm not mistaken, I didn't finish the second song because I ran out of ideas and didn't know how to continue it, but it still sounds really good and I enjoy it a lot (or rather, I enjoy both songs haha :)

Extra โญ

While I was finishing the Try2 album (or I don't remember if it was later), I took the opportunity to release on Bandlab an album I have separately called "Waiting / Esperando". I hadn't planned to release any more songs because I already felt the album was finished, so I released it (unfortunately due to time and exhaustion I didn't manage to release the Youtube version. When I finish this post (or maybe later or tomorrow) I'll get to work on it and release it hahaha :)

I think that would be all hahah. If you're wondering, I haven't made any progress on Infer (apart from everything I already mentioned in this post). I got pretty busy as you can see haha"u u. That's it :) See you in another devlog (or another video, or something else haha), byeeee โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒป (P.S.: I translated with google traductor again :")
